Refund Policy

1. Plain-English summary

If you sign up for a paid plan and it doesn't work for you, you can get a refund within 14 daysof the original charge — no interrogation, just email us. Renewals are handled separately (see below).

2. New subscriptions

Refunds are available within 14 calendar days of the initial charge on a paid plan, for any reason. Email support@hakalachi.com from the address on your account and we will process the refund within 5 business days. The refund goes back to the original payment method.

3. Renewals

We do not auto-refund renewals. You can cancel future renewals at any time from your account settings, which prevents the next charge from happening. If a renewal charge surprised you (you forgot to cancel, the email reminder went to spam, etc.), email us within 30 daysof the renewal charge and we will refund it provided the account wasn't actively used during that period.

4. Founders Deal (lifetime)

The Studio Lifetime founders deal (first 100 sign-ups, $149) is refundable within 14 daysof purchase. After 14 days, the deal is final — it is offered at a one-time price far below the equivalent subscription cost, and the offer depends on a hard cap of 100. We can't refund a slot after the cap is reached and someone else has bought it.

5. Chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, please email us before initiating a chargeback. We almost always resolve it faster than the chargeback process does, and chargebacks cost us fees regardless of outcome. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that initiate a chargeback without first attempting to contact us.

7. How to request a refund

  1. Email support@hakalachi.com from the address on the account.
  2. Tell us the charge date and the last 4 digits of the card (helps us locate the transaction).
  3. You don't have to explain why — though we'd love to know if there's something we should fix.
  4. We reply within 1 business day; the refund itself posts within 5 business days of approval.

8. Merchant of record

Paid subscriptions are processed by our merchant-of-record payment provider, which appears on your bank statement as the seller. Refunds are routed through the same provider so they appear on the same statement.
