Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

“Hakalachi” (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides this Privacy Policy to explain how we handle personal information collected through the waitlist at hakalachi.com and related domains.

2. What we collect

While the service is in waitlist / pre-launch, we collect:

Email address— the only field required to join the waitlist.
Approximate timestamp— when you signed up.
IP address— collected briefly for spam and abuse prevention and discarded after rate-limiting purposes are satisfied.
Optional referrer source— if you arrived via a tracked link, we store the link identifier so we can understand which channels reached you.

We do not collect names, phone numbers, payment information, or any other personal data at the waitlist stage.

3. Why we collect it

To notify you when Hakalachi launches and you can access it.
To send occasional updates about the launch (you can unsubscribe at any time).
To prevent automated abuse of the waitlist signup form.

4. Third-party processors

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the waitlist:

Supabase— stores waitlist signups (United States).
Resend— sends transactional emails (United States).
Vercel— hosts this website.
Cloudflare— provides DNS, security, and CDN services.

Each processor receives only the minimum information needed to perform its function. None of them sell or rent your data.

5. Cookies and tracking

6. Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you may request that we:

Tell you what personal data we have about you (right of access).
Correct any inaccurate information (right of rectification).
Delete your information from our records (right of erasure).
Export your information in a portable format (right of portability).
Stop processing your information for marketing purposes (right to object).

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@hakalachi.com. We will respond within the time required by your jurisdiction's law (and never longer than 30 days).

7. EU / UK residents (GDPR)

Our legal basis for processing your email is your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

8. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law. You have the right to know what personal information we have collected, to request deletion, and to be free from discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

9. Children

Hakalachi is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under those ages. If we learn we have collected information from a child, we will delete it promptly.

10. Data retention

We retain your email address until you ask us to delete it, until the waitlist closes, or until we cease operations — whichever comes first. After deletion, residual copies may persist in backups for up to 30 days before they are overwritten.

11. International data transfers

Our processors are located in the United States. By using the service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where our processors operate.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. If the change is material, we will notify waitlist members by email before it takes effect.
